He Possesses All Qualities of Śrī Guru as Described in the Scriptures

Firstly, I offer flowers at his lotus feet and humbly pray to him to please show mercy and accept the flowers offered to him by this fallen one. Just as the appearance day of the Lord himself is extremely holy, his devotee’s appearance day is equally as holy. Today is the appearance day of the Supreme Human Lord Śrī Rāmachandra, and today is also the appearance day of our revered Mahārāj—it definitely bears some kind of significance.

The Lord appears on the face of this earth in order to save the living world, in this respect our most revered Vaiṣṇava, crown-jeweled Mahārāj appeared on the face of this earth for the welfare of the living being of this world as per the wishes of the Bhāgavatam

God himself has said that more than my worship the worship of my devotee is great. Hence all of us will assemble together and offer our worship unto his lotus feet. With that, he will be extremely satisfied and happy with us and will shower us with merciful blessings.

Our most respected Mahārāj is engaged in his Gurudev’s (Om Viṣṇupada 108 Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Daitya Mādhava Gosvāmī Mahārāj’s) daily activities. Among those who were under his shelter was his dearest and favorite disciple, Śrīla Gurudev. His dedication towards service, fair-mindedness, humbleness, mercy, respect, and indifference toward high position attracted his heart to these and he established him as the next Ācārya of his own Sree Caitanya Gauḍīya Maṭha. At present, he is Ācārya of Sree Chaitanya Gauḍīya Maṭha. He has all the qualities of a successful ācārya.

Śrī Hari-bhakti-vilāsa (1.45-46, Viṣṇu Smriti) says: Śrī guru is immensely merciful, well-contained (present in all moods and who does not lack anything), possessor of all good qualities, engaged in the well being of all living creatures, without lust, pure and auspicious in every way, most knowledgeable, an expert in knowledge of brahman or bhakti-siddhānta (devotional knowledge), and the eradicator of all anxieties of his disciples.

This means that the person who is invested with devotion toward the Lord is widely known as guru

Our revered Guru Mahārāj is the possessor of all these qualities. Śrī Mahāprabhu had advised the Gosvāmīs to follow the four instructions: nāmaprema-pracār (preaching of the name of love, shuddha bhakti), grantha prakash (the publication of pure devotional books), srī vigraha-seva (serving the deities), and lupta tirtha-uddhar (the discovery or recovery of the holy places that have almost become extinct).

Our most respected Gurudev (accepted our revered Śrī Tirtha Gosvāmī Mahārāj as his main associate and followed the above-mentioned four instructions imparted by Śrī Mahāprabhu. During the lifetime of Śrīla Gurudev, he took our revered Guru Mahārāj along with him and traveled extensively across north, south, east, and west of India preaching the Holy Name. The way he was able to channel the minds of ignorant people towards Kṛṣṇa consciousness is an extremely outstanding accomplishment.

Later, on the advice of the revered Vaiṣṇavas, especially that of the respected Tridaṇḍī Svāmī Śrīmad Bhakti Pramod Puri Mahārāj, our revered Mahārāj preached the Holy Name across twenty-six countries of this world. During this preaching, many people got attracted to Mahāprabhu’s religion of love and took shelter at his feet.

He had worked immensely hard in publishing pure devotional books. Many of his books were translated and published in America which spread across the world. Among them, Śrī Gaurapariṣad Caritāvalī [Śrī Caitanya and His Associates] is especially worth mentioning.

While establishing the service towards the deities, Śrīla Gurudev had taken our revered Mahārāj as his main assistant and had established big temples and maṭhas across India. While recovering extinct holy places on the instruction of Śrīla Gurudeva, our revered Mahārāja revived the place of appearance of Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura. The way in which he had worked so hard is actually beyond one’s description.

Our revered Mahārāj is dear and favorite to those who had taken shelter under Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura including Śrīmad Bhakti Hridaya Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāj and respected A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svāmī Mahārāj had shown interest in taking him as his assistant while preaching abroad.

He is my elder godbrother, sannyās-guru, and my spiritual master. Within him all the qualities of a pure vaiṣṇava are present. I am quite insignificant, yet I have been fortunate to receive his affection.

He also does not have any detesting attitude toward his enemies. He is the well-wisher of everyone. Today on the auspicious day of his appearance, I offer my obeisance unto his lotus feet and I pray for his mercy. Knowingly or unknowingly if I have committed any offense to his holy feet please forgive me, this is the request that this fallen person makes unto his lotus feet.

—Param Pūjyapāda Śri Bhakti Saudha Jitendria Mahārāj
