He is Your Guru

One should take complete shelter of Guru's lotus feet, as one would have for Bhagavan. Gurudeva is Paramgurudeva's most favorite and loving disciple.  A disciple may have many good qualities, but no sharanagati.  Param Gurudeva, Prabhupada do not see qualities in disciples but see only sharanagati.  Unless there is sharanagati, Gurudeva's qualities will not descend into a disciple.  In ananya bhakti, Bhagavan's qualities descend to a devotee.  If you become a favourite of Gurudeva, then you are favorite of Bhagavan too.  Yasya prasadat bhagavat prasado...

Wherever our Gurudeva speaks Harikatha he speaks only His Gurudeva's words.  He speaks so much about Param Gurudeva that no other disciple of Param Gurudeva speaks. Before speaking, he often says, I  have orders from my Gurudeva that we have to hear and speak about what our Gurudeva has said." This is his special quality.

Guru is Krishna's grace, the incarnate form.  So through Guruseva, Bhagavan is pleased, there is no other such seva which pleases Bhagavan so much.  So we have to take shelter of Gurudeva and follow the path laid down by him for us, follow his instructions.

Never has Gurudeva said I am Guru.  When giving Harinam, he says I am not your Guru, and shows Param Gurudeva's photo, saying He is your Guru.  He never accepts anybody's worship, he says 'Worship my Gurudeva."  Never has considered anyone his disciple, nor called them or introduced them so to others as has absolutely zero guru Abhiman.

In the math it is the practice to do pranams to Vaishnavas in the mornings and evenings (Vancha Kalpataru), Param Gurudev would do dandavat pranams to all vaishnavas.  Once his god-brother told him there are your disciples among the Vaishnavas and you are doing dandavats. Param Gurudeva said:  I do not have any disciples—all are disciples of Prabhupad, so I do dandavats to them.  This is their vaishnav darshan. Our Gurudev also has this vision.
