His Desire for the Eternal Welfare of All Souls Comes from Firm Affection for Śrī Kṛṣṇa

Śrīla Guru Mahārāj is very affectionate to his disciples. The reason he travels from one place to another speaking hari-kathā throughout the year is the causeless mercy and compassion he has towards all living entities for their eternal welfare. He will never let any hindrance come in the way of such activities, even when his health is not so good.

All his glorious activities, including his hari-kathā and articles in different languages such as English, Hindi, and Bangla are proof of his desire for the eternal welfare of all souls.  My understanding is that this desire for the eternal welfare of all souls does not stop him from his tours in Punjab in the severe summer or Simla in the cold winter. In this regard, I see his affection for all souls is many times more than that of a mother to her child. Those coming in contact with Śrīla Mahārāj individually experience personal attention and special regard towards them whether they go for darśana alone or with family and friends.

During Śrī Vraja-maṇḍala parikramā in 1993 and 1996, I observed that Śrīla Guru Mahārāj takes care of sick persons personally and would send them to the right places for further treatment. When it gets late in the night many pilgrims would retire to bed without taking prasādam, but Guru Mahārāj himself would go to persuade them to take prasādam. I have seen that until all pilgrims were settled in their respective places, Guru Mahārāj would not retire to his room.  From this experience, I can say with certainty that Śrīla Mahārāj has regard and respect not only for his guru-varga, god-brothers and vaiṣṇavas but towards all.

Śrīla Guru Mahārāj has exclusive one-pointed devotion and firm affection for Supreme Lord and he is propagating this very thing. In the present era, he is the topmost spiritual master (Ācārya) of devotion and the Sun of exclusive devotion to Śrī Kṛṣṇa. His whole life is dedicated to the service of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.

Through his very gentle nature, tolerance, not desiring any honor for himself but at the same time giving respect to all, his establishment in vaiṣṇava principles, and his realization of Absolute Truth, he is the most attractive and influential preacher of pure kṛṣṇa-bhakti.

Attracted and influenced by his impeccable conduct and reflection on devotional subjects and preaching, thousands of people from different regions of India have accepted the path of śuddha kṛṣṇa-bhakti and are practicing sincerely under his guidance. These happenings are the results of Śrīla Guru Mahārāj’s exclusive devotion and firm affection for Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
